Blogging is a dying art

I was reading an article the other day about a lot of celebrity blogs that start up only to end up in a blogging graveyard. It’s not just celebrity blogs that end up this way, lots of ordinary people start writing only to find out that they run out of content after a few months.

I have been blogging now for about 5 or 6 years now although the amount of content that appears on the site is dwindling, a pattern I keep telling myself I will correct.

The decline of writing here has been due to a number of factors. Firstly, a while ago I was suffering from a bout of depression which dried up any creative thoughts I had. After that, I think I had just got “out of the habit”.

Having problems with Amanda and my lawyer suggesting that I shouldn’t be giving her ammunition didn’t help too much

Another factor has been coming up with ideas when I have been unable to transcribe them, usually when I am driving.

Lately work has been my biggest problem with adding to my blogsphere with me spending far too many hours at work. I only have one day off a week and this week I am working it! It really doesn’t leave me with a lot of time.

I know I am hardly a literary genius but I do enjoy writing and occasionally I write something that I am really proud of. It’s what keeps me here and I will keep going as long as I enjoy it.
