Merry Christmas one and all
The party last night was a great success, although I have to confess that around 11.30 when the remaining people started to get quite loud due to the influences of the Christmas spirit*, I found myself worrying that G would come over to complain. Not that they were outside at that point, the lights were off and I think they had moved in the house.
His wife did come over on Tuesday to apologise citing stress, which is understandable at this time of year and anyway, I’m over it. Typical of me, I got upset about the way he spoke to me for a short while and then forgot about it. In fact, I can picture myself sometime in the future going over my old posts and thinking “Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that”.
That trait of mine has it’s good points and its bad. It is good because I forgive and forget very easily but it’s bad because when people ask me later what was pissing me off, I can’t for the life of me remember.
*Includes Christmas beer and Chritsmas wine!
You may ask me why I am blogging on Christmas day.
Put simply, because I can.
Today is the first day since new years day some three hundred and fifty eight days ago that I haven’t had to get up for anything. I had a sleep in till after nine and have been pottering around since.
There is nothing to for me to do now until the kids arive in just over three hours time so I am sitting here sipping earl grey tea brewed fresh from leaf in a plunger. Ahh this is the life!
I also had a big breakfast of fruit and some crackers as I have heaps of leftovers. I think I am going to be eating till next Christmas.
I’m going to ride over to my mothers now and retrieve the camera so I can upload some of the photos from last night.
To be continued ..
